Taking a Break!

For those of you wondering where I have been...life has gotten in the way of blogging AGAIN!  I have started my new job and LOVE it so far!!  Big adjustment after not working for two years.

My mom is back at the nursing home but I think it is time to find a new place for her.  This one was fine when she was pretty self sufficient but they don't seem to be giving her the attention she needs now that she isn't mobile.

Made a trip to Quincy, IL to visit with my aunt.  She has the beginnings of dementia, too.  Took her to the doctor and tried to get her medicine straightened out.

I did laundry all day today, finished our taxes, applied for FAFSA and scholarships for my son to go to college. I then sat down and read some of my book.  I am mentally drained and needed a mindless romance novel to lessen the load on my brain!

My creativity has gone stale again.  Maybe it is all the snow or added responsibilities.  I'm not sure.  However, I think it is best that I take a little break for a few weeks to get myself energized and focused!

I miss all my blogger friends!  I will be back after this short break!!  Wait for me!!!
Bonnie

  1. Hi Bonnie-
I wondered how it would be when you went back to work. Going down a whole new avenue can turn life as you know it upside down...plus you are dealing with an aging Mom and now an Aunt with dementia...a hubby...a family...which leaves precious little time to just be you...and you need some time to just breathe. I decided that when blogging becomes work (and too much of an effort) that is when I will cease to do it. It is okay for me because I don't have kids at home and a family to manage. I understand exactly where you are coming from though.

Please keep me posted about your Mom and how you are doing. You have my email and I would love to hear from you when you can manage a line or two. There are some people you just don't want to lose touch with and you are one of them. Besides...I need to keep seeing those new outfits you are putting together for work (like the nuns will even notice);>) Glad you love your job- Hugs...xxxx Diana

  6. Hey Bonnie... Know EXACTLY what you are going through. We ust lost my Mother-in-law one month ago (COPE and Alzheimers), and had to go through all the same things. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I have not had time for blogging either - hopefully I can get back to it real soon! Oh, and we have been to Quincy numerous times, our son lives in Hannibal, MO. :-)
