Three French Hens Antique Roadtrip

I decided it was time for a major haircut since I will be going back to work next month.  If I can style it as cute as my hairstylist, I might take a picture and show you!!  I'm not the most photogenic so I avoid being in front of the camera!!

Since I was headed to what I call, Up Town, which is the nicest and most expensive area of St. Louis.  It is what we call West County.  There is an antique store that I have seen advertised and on local television shows for decorating.  They have some gorgeous things but nothing I could afford!  I took my camera and I apologize now because some are a little blurry.  Unfortunately, it was crowded so I was trying to take pictures without flash when no one was around.  To get the light, I changed my shutter speed but you have to hold the camera very still for it to work well.  However, I think you will get the awe inspiring affect of the place.

It is called Three French Hens Antiques.  Here is their website for some gorgeous pictures!  Enjoy my road trip tour!

Old sleigh out front

I am linking this to Vanessa's Inspiration Friday over at her blog, Southern In My Heart!  There were some gorgeous things and I just couldn't take it all in!  Lots of inspiration for me!

Just a side note; the small burns around my eye are healing pretty good!  Thanks for the well wishes and concern!

  1. What an amazing place, with so much eye candy you have to go over the pictures again and again. I really love that pale yellow hutch! Sure wish I could have gone with you.

I have confidence that you will be able to style your new haircut, so will be waiting for the new picture!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my living room and tree.

  3. Oh my oh my. I want to go there. I want the cabinet with the french doors. I wish I had a money tree and lived close by. Those antlers!! Did you look at the prices on those by any chance. Love them! How short did you go with your hair?

  4. Bonnie we have the little wooden Thomas the train set too! I am saving it also. LOL! OMG! That store is totally gorgeous. Lot's of wonderful eye candy for sure. Oh, to be a rich woman and shop there regularly! Wait, I am coveting aren't I? I love how it is all decorated for Christmas too. I wonder how much of the Christmas decor actual sells? Just a thought, but I seriously love all those hutchs. Thanks for sharing!

  10. Hi Bonnie! Talk about amazing inspiration! I could seriously just walk around a place like that all day long just to soak it all in. Thank you so much for linking it up to the party this week and I was so sorry to hear about the burns on your eyes...somehow I missed that post but I am glad to hear they are healing nicely! :-)
    Blessings to you my friend,

  11. I love Three French Hens. Haven't been there since last Spring.

When we came back from Mobot yesterday, we came back via 44 rather than 64 and cut through to Chesterfield at Eureka. Wish we had the time to stop. I love to browse. I bought a candlestick there, last time I was there.

I enjoyed seeing your photos. When I was there I asked someone at the desk and she said they didn't allow them. So I just took outside pictures. I'd love to take some inside. When I go again I will ask again. Might have asked the wrong person first time.;-)

  20. Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog...I LOVE Christmas and go a little crazy with the decorating. :)
That store is Ahhhmazing! I think I could probably browse around in there for hours! (it does look pricey though) In places like that, I do the same thing you do....I take loads of pictures and then duplicate what I like much cheaper. :)
    Thanks again for stopping by!

  22. Oh Bonnie, I will just have one of everything that I saw in those pics. Don't I wish that were true. Oh well, if we could get anything we wanted at anytime we wanted it, what would we have to look forward to the next time we go shopping? We want a pic of that new hair-do.
