A Little Christmas Cheer!

For those that missed my quick post this morning, I am at 200+ followers!!!  I am just ecstatic with that and will do some sort of celebration/giveaway later this week!!!
It was a LONG weekend!  I am tired!!!  I worked on Christmas decorating all weekend starting last Thursday and at this point, I'M DONE!!!  Even if it isn't done, I am done!  I had to make a lot of things which is why it took so long.  Plus our tree is 10 foot and no one was home to help me put it up so that took longer!!  I need a Christmas Vacation!  Here we go...starting in the family room!

That was Nate Berkus on the TV.  He just stopped by for a peek at my room!!  I wish!!  I wrapped some ribbon around the candles to make them more for Christmas.  There is our happy family!

I made this poinsettia basket with lights for my mother in law about 12 years ago.  She was tired of it and gave it back to me.  I just loved it and was thrilled to have it back!  Santa is holding our matches!

Just a little Christmas cheer on the television hutch.  Trying to work with what I have and found at thrift stores this year!

This is Mr. Creative's Red Flyer sled.  You can see it is broke and has black electrical tape holding it together!  Since we grew up together, I remember some serious sleigh riding when we were kids!!  I added some cedar from the woods and tried to make a bow.  It has been awhile since I made bows!

Again, using what I have, this is the scene on top of the computer hutch.  Yes, the thermostat says 77 degrees in here.  The next picture explains why!!

There is a fire roaring in the fireplace.  We heat our home with this insert stove that has blowers.  It keeps the house toasty and saves us about $1600 a year on propane!

Not the best picture of the tree.  I can't believe how the sun and light is messing with my camera!!  I'll take more later today!  I did my ribbon cascading down this year and really like it!

On to the kitchen!

I love this ornament cookie jar!!  Just some ornaments and pine cones in a bowl.  Frugal decorating!

I think this turned out so cute!!  I love all the candy theme kitchens that I have seen!

My Christmas tiered plate that I made and of course Mr. Creative and me about 5 years ago!  You can still see the kitchen wallpaper in the background of the picture!!

My sister in laws' mother made these napkins and coasters for all of us a few years ago.  I decided to fold them like a fan and put them in a jar of snow with some berries.

Well, I will show more rooms and outside later this week!  I don't want to bore you with too many pictures!!  I just wanted to link up to the Deck the Halls party over at Between Naps on the Porch!!

I am also linking to Carrie's Amaze Me Monday party at Dittle Dattle!

I think this qualifies for Marty's Table Top Tuesday!!

Have a wonderful day!
Bonnie

Bonnie,
This is beautiful! I love your little cloche with the red house in it. Your tree is lovely. I have those issues with my camera too. I just keep messing with everything till I get the lighting right. I really like your sled arrangement too!

Hi Bonnie! Congrats on reaching 200 friends! :-) Your home looks so beautiful all decked out for Christmas and I agree about needing a vacation after all the decorating. I absolutely love the ribbon around the candles and may just be stealing that idea!

Man! You have been busy, decorating and making things! I've got to get on the crafty stuff, I've only been pulling things out and decorating, but that is exhausting too. I can only imagine how tired you are especially right after your kitchen remodel. I was going to say don't forget Martys cloche party, but I see you've already been reminded. I love everything you've done and adore your husbands sled. You reminded me we actually have one in our basement..like we ever need one in SC but it was my husbands he got from his father recently. I don't know where or who's it was originally. Here I was thinking I was done. OMG! You are so inspiring!
