Look What a Little Paint Can Do!

Kim is having her "Boring to Better" party and since my kitchen cabinets won't be done in time (maybe next week's party), I thought I would fit in a little transformation of a thrifty find!!

The plaster planter on the right was quite yucky but only $1.  I thought for sure I could do something with it to make it work somewhere!

I grabbed the teal blue paint I had left over and slapped it on!  Very TEAL!

So then I figured to tone it down, I would add some mettallic glaze.  I smeared it on and wiped it off.  With it being porous, it sucked in the paint and it was hard to wipe the glaze back off.

I like it and it will work for somewhere in my master bedroom/bathroom makeover coming soon!

As for the kitchen, I have all the doors done for one side of the kitchen.  I painted the hinges and knobs in ORB.  I hung a few doors before the cordless drill gave out!  Here is a sneak peek!

I really like how the beadboard wallpaper looks after painting and glazing!  Still a lot more to do, but it is coming along nicely!

Please stop by Savvy Southern Style for Kim's party!!!

Thank you for stopping by and your encouraging words!!  Mr. Creative will be home on Sunday so I have more work to do by then!

Have a great day!
Bonnie

Hi Bonnie-

Your transformed planter now looks llike something you would buy at a decorative garden shop. Adding the glaze really brings out the detail.
